Using Hypnotherapy to Reduce the Adverse Effects of Cancer

There is little in this life as scary and stressful as a diagnosis of cancer.  But what if there was a way to reduce that stress, help manage the pain, and arguably, help the patient self-heal?  Hypnotherapy is that way!

The Stanford Medicine Cancer Institute states that “reports provide strong evidence that hypnosis can reduce chronic cancer pain.”  See the entire article here.  I have personally used hypnotherapy very successfully to help clients with cancer reduce their stress, sleep much better, and attribute it to whatever you want, a current client has had her cancer markers drop significantly and a CAT Scan show that her tumor is shrinking.  There is a mountain of evidence that alternative methods help clients to self-heal from cancer.  Want to know more?  Start by reading Leigh Fortson’s book “Embrace, Release, Heal. (Published by Sounds True, Inc., Boulder, Colorado 2011)

One thing is sure; stress and poor sleep significantly inhibit the body’s ability to heal.  Learning to relax the mind and control pain through hypnotherapy can aid greatly in being able to reduce that stress!
