Pain Relief the Natural Way

Pain Relief the Natural Way

In September 2015 I had the privilege to lecture on and demonstrate a pain relief technique to one of the tri-annual Oregon Hypnotherapy Association meetings.  I lectured on a technique described in a book by British Hypnotherapist John Howard called “The Simple Secrets of the Power to Heal.”  After a Power Point slide show, I demonstrated the technique in front of the gathering on two female volunteers, both of whom had chronic pain.  The first woman was aged 83 years old and suffered from groin pain that had extended to her hip, down her left leg, all the way to her calf and ankle.  The second woman, aged 60, had pain in her right wrist and thumb.

Chronic pain very often originates in the subconscious mind in response to deep-seated stress.  That stress (called “rage” by Dr. John Sarno in his book “The Mindbody Prescription – Healing the Body, Healing the Pain”) manifests in physical pain or syndromes anywhere in the body, often as back pain, shoulder pain, leg pain, headaches, or joint pain.  The reason the subconscious does this is to ‘relieve’ the torment of some emotional angst which threatens to erupt as an emotional outburst or meltdown.  The subconscious prefers it to result in a “physical eruption” rather than an emotional one, hence the onset of chronic pain.

We are led to believe by Western medical professionals that pain is always a mechanical malady – a malfunction of our body.  They believe this requires a physical or chemical solution such as surgery, physical therapy or medication – always medication!  The truth of the matter is that in the majority of cases, it requires nothing more than simple release of the emotional angst in the subconscious mind.  This can be easily accomplished by a well-trained and experienced hypnotherapist in a few short sessions, and the results are almost always amazing to the client.

I have personally worked with clients who have had years of pain and where conventional medical treatment did nothing to alleviate it.  In almost every case, the pain was either completely eradicated or greatly reduced – always through the simple process of hypnotherapy.  If you or someone you love has long-term pain that has not responded to conventional medical protocol, please consider the benefits of hypnotherapy at Skipnotherapy in Salem, Oregon.  If you cannot make it to me in person, I can very effectively work with you via Skype.  Find out more at www.skipnotherapy.com.
